Add navbar menu for Cargo Site – Easy

Menu in Cargo 3 and Cargo 3

In this blog, we are going to see how to add a navbar menu for Cargo Site. We are going to create a simple header menu and we are going to see it in both Cargo 2 and Cargo 3 editor.

Add navbar menu for Cargo Collective Site | Cargo 2 | Cargo 3

Add navbar menu for Cargo 3

  1. Log in to the Cargo 3 editor and make a new page just for your menu.
  2. On the top menu, click the “+” icon and choose “Columns.” This creates a row where you can add different things like a logo, about, contact info, and social media icons. You can add more columns by clicking “+” and remove them by clicking “-“. You can have up to 12 columns and organize them however you like.
  3. After making the menu page, we want it to be on every page. Click the three dots above the menu page and select “Pin.” This will keep the menu on all pages.
  4. Once pinned, you can adjust some settings like how it interacts with other content:
    • “Adjust other contents”: The pinned menu moves other pages out of the way so it doesn’t cover them.
    • “Fixed in place”: The pinned menu stays put even when you scroll the site.
    • “Overlay other contents”: The menu sits on top of other pages without moving them, but it can still push content out of the way.
    • “Pin at the top”: The menu is always at the top of the page or browser window.
    • “Pin at the bottom”: The menu is always at the bottom of the page or browser window.
  5. Click on “Publish Changes” to make the changes live.

Add Navbar menu for Cargo 2

  1. Open your Cargo 2 editor and add a new page specifically for the menu by clicking the “+” icon.
  2. At the bottom right corner, you’ll see an option to add columns. Click on it to create a single row. You can then add various items like your logo, about section, contact details, and social media icons as needed. You can adjust the width of the columns simply by dragging them.
  3. As an example below, I have a layout with two columns. In one column, place your logo aligned to the left, and in the other column, align all the other menu items to the right.
  4. Once your menu layout is set, pin the page so that the menu is visible on every page of your website.
  5. Click on save to publish the changes.
